Please ask any member of staff for further information about any of our clinics.
If you are attending a hospital appointment and need transport on medical grounds, please call the Scottish Ambulance Service booking line on 0300 123 1236, as soon as you have your appointment date. To cancel a journey which has already been booked, call 0800 389 1333. If you are in any doubt about this, please contact our receptionists for advice.
If you think that you may require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel, you will need to complete a Travel Form, which must then be handed in to the practice, at least 5 weeks before you are due to travel, marked clearly for the attention of the Travel Nurse.
If you are outwith this timescale, you will need to contact:
If you are within the appropriate timescale, the Travel Form can be printed off (see below) or collected from the practice, then completed and returned, including as much detail as possible. This will enable the travel nurse to give you the best and most up to date advice. The nurse will contact you in due course, with information on recommended immunisations and other travel advice. You will then need to arrange an appointment to get the recommended injections, allowing sufficient time, as advised, for the injections to take effect before you depart on your travels. There may be a charge for this, as not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS. These are detailed below - where applicable, payments are required prior to the administration of the vaccinations.
DIPTHERIA/TETANUS/POLIO, HEPATITIS A and TYPHOID
Patients issued NHS Prescription. No charge for administering injection
HEPATITIS A BOOSTER - As above.
OTHER IMMUNISATIONS eg MENINGITIS and RABIES are required occasionally. Patient given Private Prescription - pay Pharmacy for injection. Appointment with Practice Nurse. Charge of £18 per person per injection will be made for advice and administration of injection.
Patients given Private Prescription for course of 3 injections - pay Pharmacy. Appointments at recommended intervals with the Practice Nurse. Charge of £54 for the course.
Patient given Private Prescription - pay Pharmacy for tablets/capsules.

Travelling in Europe
If you are travelling to Europe a very useful booklet has been published with advice and guidance to help you get the most out of your holiday. To visit please click:- http://ec.europa.eu/publications/booklets/eu_glance/86/en.pdf (this is a large document and may take a minute or two to view)
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
The requirement for specific documentation can take a considerable time to compile and so a sliding scale charge is applied. Requests for documents should allow 28 days for compilation and receipt. This may involve multiple telephone calls or letters to and from the practice. The scales can be found in the downloadable PDF contained within the Non-NHS Fees Guidance within this section.
