Consultations with doctors and practice nurses are by appointment only. To make an appointment, please telephone the surgery on 01343 820247, or call in at reception. Our staff will make every effort to ensure that you are seen within a timely manner. You may be asked for a reason for your appointment in order to ensure you are seen by the most appropriate person.
Appointments are available both in the morning and afternoon, from Monday to Friday. You may make an appointment to see any doctor or nurse. However, please remember that you may have to wait a little longer to see a specific doctor at a specific time, e.g. after school/work. Please be flexible and our staff will make every effort to give you a convenient and early appointment.
If you feel you need to see your doctor urgently, please make this clear to our staff. They will ask for full details of the problem and offer you the most appropriate appointment. In some instances the doctor may ring you back.
If you need to speak to your doctor, please call the receptionist, who will arrange a telephone consultation for you. You may find it useful to supply the surgery with a mobile phone number, if available, as it is not always possible to give an exact time that the doctor will call.
In a number of cases, it might be worth considering an appointment with a Practice Nurse rather than a doctor. Practice Nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments, and you may be seen more quickly.
Please inform us as soon as possible if, for any reason, you cannot attend an appointment. This will allow us to offer the appointment slot to someone else.
